Dell Dimension 8250 Compatibility with PC800-40 RDRAM
Question:

I have a Dell Dimension 8250 computer. Am considering 512mb(2x256) of pc800-40-RDRAM. My book also says (non-ECC). Your ad doesn't mention that or what that is. Will your RDRAM work in my Dell 8250 with the existing 256 mb of ram?
Answer:

While all of our memory is ECC, it will work perfectly in your computer- as ECC memory acts as Non-ECC in corresponding computers. (In fact 75% of all our sales are for the the Dell Dimension series computers).

The PC800-40 is the correct memory and will work in conjunction with your current memory. This is guaranteed compatible and can be returned for any reason.
